Mildred L. Bean, 97, of Moweaqua, IL, formerly of Blue Mound, IL, passed away at 5:15 P.M. on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at Moweaqua Nursing and Retirement Center, Moweaqua, IL. 

 

A memorial service will be held at a later date.   Cremation rites were accorded.

Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Macon, IL is assisting the family with arrangements.  Messages of condolence may be directed to the family at www.dawson-wikoff.com.

 

Mildred was born on November 25, 1913 in Blue Mound, IL, the daughter of Clarence and Edna (Goffinet) Christison.  She was a Homemaker and member of Blue Mound United Methodist Church and was a 50-year member and Past Matron of Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #327 in Blue Mound, IL.  She married Robert R. Bean.  He preceded her in death.

 

Mildred is survived by:  one son, Phillip Bean of Moweaqua, IL; two daughters, Susan Windels and Companion Craig Leong of Dallas, TX and Alice Joumaa and husband Danny of Boston, MA; brother, Dale Christison and wife Marg of Decatur, IL; sister, Honey Hubbard of Dallas, TX; four grandchildren, Cecily Ketterrer and husband Bill of Dallas, TX, Todd Windels and wife Jenna of Dallas, TX, Orson Bean and wife Katie of Blue Mound, IL and Cole Barton of Amhurst, MA; four great grandchildren.

 

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter, Annette,

one brother, Jack Christison and one sister, Eleanor Chambers.
